4:46 PM ● Drake Takes A Fall


By now everyone has heard of Drake and his bad knee. If you watched the B.E.T Awards when him and Wayne performed "Every Girl" you probably noticed Drake was sitting on a stool the whole time. No it wasn't because he was lazy or because he was trying to appear cool, it was actually because he had a torn ACL. If you know anything about injuries, that's a very serious thing (the ACL ligaments connect the bones of the knee joint).
On that night in Camden, New Jersey, Drake apparently did a slight spin move and fell down. Wayne tried to save the show by making a joke to calm everyone down because I'm sure some people were a little stunned. (Drake stayed down for a long time). Drake's doc apparently told him not to tour in the first place, but he decided to take that chance anyway. Drake released a statement to MTV saying:
“I didn’t really get any approval from my doctor, but I made a personal decision 48 hours ago that I’d be letting a lot of people down if I didn’t show up and at least show them I’m there for them…”
"I'm not doing my own set. That’s one thing I have to apologize to my fans about. It's too much of a risk, if I hit that wrong turn [doing] 30 minutes every night. If I tear my ACL again, the doctors say I might not be able to walk again. I have to be cautious."
Let's hope he's okay and his injury heals up quickly.
